Africa’s 2063 Agenda
‘When they say Africa is on move, we know that, Africa must innovate her way to move’
With our own lens, we are telling and creating the picture of Africa in 2063 as if it is written on the ‘wall’. Through research, we are partnering and supporting various multi-sectoral stakeholders in the conceptualization and integration of Africa 2063 key drivers with the SDGs to realize the following;
- A prosperous Africa
- Politically united Africa
- Good governance
- Peaceful and secure Africa
- Strong cultural identity
- People driven
- Influential global player
Continental Framework
Several progressive frameworks and treaties have been developed and signed by Africa Union (AU) in Addis to address the continental common development agenda. Among the key treaties, is the Niamey Convention (Convention de Niamey 2014) which is key towards the realization of a prosperous Africa. A borderless Africa will operationalise Intra-Africa trade – for the African people. Niamey Convention is the ‘pre-requisite’ for the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA). To date, few States have ratified Niamey Convention. Many African States are doing International trade at the expense of trade opportunities within the Continent.
